Motivating Story - 1000 Gold Coins for the Kings Security

This is a very good Motivating Moral Story on 1000 Gold Coins, how a boy beats all the security arrangements of a heavily guarded palace.

Once a king instituted an reward of a 1000 gold coins to anyone who could take anything out of his palace walls or gates within a month’s time. He positioned X-Ray machines at the gates that could scan people and even equipments, electrical power fencings on the walls, placed armed sentries who were changed every two hours, with ammunition and orders to kill anyone trying to take anything out of the palace premises.

His staff monitored everything in the control room with closed circuit TV. A young grass cutter came to the gate with his cart loaded with grass cut from the palace premises. They checked his special pass to the palace entry and photo identity card which were all valid. He and his grass cart were all X-Ray scanned. The armed security guards found nothing and let him take the grass out. Everyday the young boy took the grass out and they could not find anything hidden in the cart or in the grass or on him.

The security exercise ended and everyone involved reported to the king about the 100% success of their security arrangements. The young grass cutter said, “Your highness, I request you to give the promised reward of 1000 gold coins to me.” Everyone looked puzzled. The king asked, “Young man, can you show me what you have managed to take out of my palace?”

The grass cutter took everyone to his house where he proudly showed them 30 grass carts lined up which were taken out of the palace gates, with the full knowledge of the kings ruthless armed security guards, thoroughly scanned by the X-Ray machines and proof was available on CCTV recordings.

The Moral of this Motivating Story.

“Identity Cards are not enough. Have an eye for details.”
