Motivating Story of Coke and Pepsi

Motivating Story of Coke and Pepsi

Motivating Story of Coke and Pepsi Business in USA

This is a highly Motivating Story about the Pepsi and Coke war in USA in the 1980.

In the 1980’s the two big soft drink giants Coke and Pepsi were in business in USA. Both companies had good management.

Every meeting of the Pepsi and Coke teams in their conference hall used to be towards taking over the market share of each other. Very soon they realized that they were not making any headway in boosting their sales or profit.

But Coke team realised their mistake and changed their strategy. So Coke changed their agenda now to get their own sales and profit to increase by 0.1 % every month. In fact, their endeavor now was now to compete against their own capabilities.

The Coke company was initially succeeding in achieving their goal of 0.1 % increase in sales monthly. But after a few months the company found that even this small 0.1% increase in sales becoming difficult to cope with.

One day the CEO of Coke thought to change the strategy once again. He did a market survey to find out what is the total consumption of fluids of an average American.

The results were amazing. Each American drinks about 1.5 liters of fluids including water, tea, coffee, beer etc a day on an average and out that only 30 ml was soft drinks like Coke and Pepsi.

Now their conference was concentrating only on how to increase this 30 ml quota to at least 300 ml to start with. One of the executives suggested that they should make Coke available to the people when ever and where ever they felt thirsty or wanted to drink some thing.

To this end, Coke put up vending machines at every street corner. Coke sales were up more than ten times from then on and Pepsi has never quite caught up since.

A Highly Motivating Moral Story of a Hospital ICU

This is a real Motivating and Inspiring story that happened in a Hospital ICU in Tennessee USA where a new born baby was brought to life by her brother by singing a nursery rhime.

Once there was a three year old boy. His mother was pregnant. The family prepared a room ready for the new baby.

The boy would sit in his mother’s lap and sing the only song he knew “Twinkle twinkle little star...” over and over again every day. Three months later his mother was admitted to the hospital.

The delivery was complicated. The new born baby girl was kept in ICU. Two weeks later the doctors gave up and the parents were in grief.

The father was now looking for a coffin and symmetry space for burial. The boy was eager to see his little sister, but he could not visit her because children are not allowed in ICU.

The child’s condition was critical and the mother was convinced that if her son does not see his sister that day, then he will never see her alive.

As the boy walked into the ICU with his father a nurse tried to stop the boy and the mother shouted, “He is seeing his sister now!”, so firmly that the nurse let him in. The boy was happy to see his sister, but she was almost dead.

The boy sang “Twinkle twinkle little star how I...” The baby girl made a feeble sound for the first time in her life and the doctors were amazed to see her pulse stabilize in less than a minute’s time.

The baby girl was back to life. The very next day the baby was discharged from hospital declared as a normal and healthy by the same doctors.

This is a true story from a hospital somewhere in Tennessee, USA. Believe it or Not.
